Miss Caitlyn is our bilingual teacher for the school-age program. Her previous experience includes being a substitute in bilingual classes in Hillsboro and Forest Grove.
Our primary goal in the Jaguar class is to provide study assistance in support of the online schooling that will be happening during the COVID-19 emergency. We will provide a safe space to study and socialize with a limited group of other children. You can learn more about our emergency program rules here. While we welcome children from any school, preference is given to existing Gentog families and to families from Beaverton's charter school Arco Iris.
This class will be utilizing our Senior Living Room space, which we believe is the perfect cross between a formal classroom and learning at home! Each student will have an assigned, private table to study at, as well as an assigned recliner for a comfortable reading spot. We have an outdoor space (yard and patio) that will be used by this group separately from the preschool children. This group will have their own restrooms.
In keeping with our mission to bring generations together, the students of the Jaguar class will participate in some outreach to our Gentog seniors through Zoom and through creating cards/gifts for the seniors who must remain at home during this time.
Snacks and lunch are prepared daily on-site. You can find out what's on the menu here. If you would prefer to provide your student's food, you may do so.
