Child Care Experts Beth and Elaine

Senior Care Directors Lisa and Cathy

Beth is our Head Teacher.  She has more than 11 years of child care services experience, including home care, care for children with special needs, and Christian based child care.  Beth is a medical foster/adopting parent. Beth and son Chase are members of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Beaverton.  

Elaine is our Co-Director for Child Care.  She is from North Dakota, where she earned her BA in education and taught both 1st and 4th grades. Elaine has spent many years in child care programs for various organizations as well as private care. In addition to caring for children, Elaine was the caregiver for her mother for several years. Elaine's faith comes from her grandmother's Nazarene Church.   

Lisa is our Senior Activities Director. She earned a degree in Psychology from Portland State University. She volunteered in an assisted living center, providing care for the elderly, and her love of serving seniors was born. Lisa worked previously with a Community Based Activity Program for people with disabilities.  Lisa and her husband attend Imago Dei Church.  

Cathy is our Senior Care Director. She has provided care to seniors for many years. She began by caring for her own grandmother and other relatives. She earned her CNA and worked in Alzheimer’s facilities, nursing homes and most recently provided home care to various seniors. Cathy is married with 4 children and 1 granddaughter, and is a member of St Anthony's Catholic Church in Tigard.

New staff!  We are pleased to welcome teacher Pam to our 3 year old class.  High school students Alexia and MacKenzie are also helping in the childcare room in the afternoons.  In our kitchen we've added Jessica to cook our meals.  Jenna and Debbie have joined the team to help with our seniors.  All of these wonderful ladies understand the value of intergenerational programming, and we love having them in our Gentog family!
